Squash’s biggest stage returns to Vanderbilt Hall with a record prize purse of $357,500—offering prize money parity—which will be contested over an expanded nine days of match play in Grand Central through finals day Thursday, January 24. The ToC welcomes its eleventh year of title sponsor support from J.P. Morgan.

The first-ever ‘Wild Wednesday’ lineup fields three sessions of captivating men’s first-round matches on the all-glass Oracle NetSuite SuiteSuccess Court. An all European session leads off the tournament with French veteran and 2016 ToC semifinalist Mathieu Castagnet against rising Englishman George Parker at noon local time. The 3:30 afternoon session will see Switzerland’s Nicolas Müller return to Grand Central for the first time since his surprise run to the 2018 ToC quarterfinals—which marked the world No. 18’s third career platinum quarterfinal appearance. Müller will face Egypt’s “Black Falcon” Mazen Hesham.

Team USA takes center stage during the 6:30pm evening session. Two-time defending U.S. champion and Bedford, NY-native Chris Hanson is set for his debut in Grand Central against Egypt’s “Hammer of Thor” Omar Mossad in the opening match. After winning the men’s wild card playoff last week, Harvard junior Timmy Brownell will follow on against Egyptian former World Juniors adversary Youssef Soliman. Todd Harrity closes out the first day of match play against Hong Kong’s world No. 22 Yip Tsz Fung. Harrity, the highest-ranked U.S. male at world No. 48, will be in search of his first victory in Grand Central in his seventh appearance.

Outside of Grand Central, men’s first round matches will also take place on ‘Wild Wednesday’ at the Harvard Club and New York Athletic Club. Follow live scores from all venues here.
