Tang and Elriani Capture First U19 National Title; Five First-Time Champions Crowned

Isabella Tang and Jack Elriani earned their first U19 junior national titles, while five first-time national champions were crowned at the U.S. Junior Squash Championships, March 13-15, at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia.

The nation’s top junior descended on Philadelphia to compete across ten age divisions at the Specter Center and Penn Squash Center. View all results on the Junior Nationals tournament page. Elriani and Tang both lifted their first U19 title and add to their Junior Nationals title records. Tang competed in in the U19s this season for the first time at just fifteen years old and having already earned a top 150 ranking in the world professionally. Tang entered the draw as the two seed and only dropped one game all tournament on her way to the title culminating in a 3-0 final win against top seeded Savannah Moxham 12-10, 11-2, 11-9. Tang marks back-to-back national titles having won the U15s in 2025 and U13s in 2023.

Elriani, seventeen years old, entered his first U19 national final in his second season competing in the U19s. Elriani, the three seed, reached the final without dropping a game and came back from a game down in the final to defeat top seed Yaseen Shalaby 6-11, 11-6, 11-7, 13-11. Elriani collects his fourth junior national title, adding to his 2024 U17, 2023 U15 and 2019 U11 titles.

The U17s produced a first-time champion in Tamir Wiegenfeld and four-time champion in Charlotte Sze. Wiegenfeld, the two seed, pulled off two impressive five-game comebacks in the semifinals against Jude Cha and final against top seeded Carlton Capella to win his first junior national title 11-7, 10-12, 7-11, 12-10, 11-8. Sze, who placed second in the 2025 U17 final at fourteen years old, went one better in 2026 with a perfect title run. Sze defeated two seed Reghan McLaughlin 11-9, 11-8, 11-7 in a close final. Sze adds to her 2024 U15 title, 2022 U13 and 2021 U13 titles.

The Sze family boasts two other finalists and one champion in Vivienne and Juliette. Vivienne fulfilled her GU15 top seeding with an emphatic perfect title run, defeating three seed Kathryn Chung in the final. Vivienne joins her older sister with four national titles and one in the U11s, U13s and U15s. California’s Megha Ravichandran earned her second national title in the GU13 after coming back from 2-0 down in the final against Juliette Sze to win 11-13, 7-11, 11-4, 11-3, 11-8.

BU15 top seed Whit Robertson III earned his first national title after finishing as runner up in both the U11s and U13s previously. Robertson clinched the title 11-3, 11-3, 11-8 against three seed and first-time finalist Kevin Wu.

Teddy Edwards completed a sweep of both the U13 U.S. Junior Open and Junior Nationals titles this season. Edwards pulled off a five-game comeback in the semifinals against top seed Yiden Chen, and defeated two seed Archibald Anolik in the final 11-4, 11-7, 11-6.

The GU11 division was decided in an exciting five-game final that came down to the wire as top seeded Elizabeth Kung defeated two seed Suri Iyengar 5-11, 11-5, 11-6, 9-11, 11-9. Bu11 top seed Lukas Daily pulled off a perfect title run without dropping a game, earning his first national title against three seed Aryan Gandhi.
