Squash Stars to Attend Spirit of St. Louis Foundation High School Squash Awards

The Spirit of Saint Louis Squash Foundation today announced Miguel Angel Rodriguez and Matias Knudsen will attend its Annual Gala on April 24 and 25, 2026.

Miguel is the former World #4 and British Open Champion known for his incredible court coverage, trick shots and acrobatics on court.  Matias won the 2025 Republica Dominicana Open and is known for his astonishing trick shots.

That same weekend, the Foundation will recognize the 2026 winners of the National High School Squash Awards.  Each year, in conjunction with US Squash, the Foundation honors the top high school players, including the National Players of the Year, East, Midwest and West Regional Players of the Year, and St. Louis Players of the Year.  At its expense, the Foundation hosts these players and their families for an exciting weekend culminating with the presentation of their perpetual trophies.

The “Updated Watch List” for the Women’s and Men’s National Players of the Year:

  • Savannah Moxham (CT), Isabella Tang (VA), Charlotte Sze (MA), and Diya Yadav (CA), and
  • Yaseen Shalaby (NY), Aiden Chiang (NJ), Hart Robertson (NY) and Jack Elriani (PA).

This year, the National Players of the Year will receive a wildcard invitation into the RC Pro Series PSA Singles Championship to be held in St. Louis on April 22 to 26, 2026.

Foundation Chairman Craig W. Ashmore said “the Foundation is honored to recognize the hard work and talent of these high school athletes.  We look forward to seeing the National Players of the Year compete in the RC Pro Series and sharing the weekend in St. Louis with all the winners, their families, and these squash professionals.”
