Spirit of Saint Louis Squash Foundation Announces 2023 Award Recipients

The Spirit of Saint Louis Squash Foundation is proud to announce the 2023 recipients of the National High School Squash Awards awarded in conjunction with US Squash:

  • Lucie Stefanoni (Darien, Connecticut) and Rishi Srivastava (Berwyn, Pennsylvania) will receive the Musick and Ashmore Trophy as the Women’s and Men’s High School United States Players of the Year. They will also receive the Summers Trophy as the Women’s and Men’s High School Eastern Regional Players of the Year;
  • Hudson Lin, Jr. (Chicago, Illinois) and Dixon Hill (Waite Hill, Ohio) will receive the Spence Trophy as the Men’s and Women’s Midwest Region Players of the Year;
  • Riya Navani (Milpitas, California) and Varun Chitturi (Fremont, California) will receive the Arneson Trophy as the Women’s and Men’s High School Western Regional Players of the Year; and
  • Haadis Amin (Chesterfield, Missouri) and Bridget Clennan (Ladue, Missouri) will receive the Avery Cup as the Men’s and Women’s St. Louis Players of the Year.

The Foundation will present these awards at is Annual Gala in Saint Louis on April 22, 2023. The inaugural edition of the awards ceremony occurred in 2022 with the recipients welcomed to St. Louis for several days of special events.

Foundation Chairman Craig Ashmore said “the Foundation is honored to recognize the dedication, hard work and talent of these high school athletes. They excel in singles squash, a challenging sport that dates back over 150 years.  We look forward to sharing the weekend with these athletes and their families.”

The Foundation is committed to advancing squash across the United States.  Each year, the Foundation recognizes the top high school squash players nationally, regionally and locally.
