Job Overview

We are seeking a versatile, entrepreneurial, and creative Annual Giving Manager to join our Advancement team in Philadelphia. This role is pivotal in developing and executing strategies to grow our annual giving program, including donor identification, cultivation, and stewardship. The Annual Giving Manager will work closely with the development team to increase contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations to support the mission and programs of US Squash, as well as overseeing the launch of the US Squash Foundation and subsequent capital campaign.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive annual giving plan. This includes setting objectives, strategies, and benchmarks to grow annual revenue primarily from individual donors.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute multiple annual fundraising campaigns, leveraging various channels such as direct mail, email, social media, web, and events.
  • Create ongoing donor-facing digital content year-round across various channels including email, social media, and web.
  • Strategically plan and manage the public launch of the US Squash Foundation, as well as the subsequent capital campaign.
  • Utilize the donor database to track and analyze donor data. Prepare regular reports on campaign performance, donor trends, and giving patterns to inform strategic decisions.
  • Implement effective stewardship practices to recognize and acknowledge donors, keeping them informed about the impact of their contributions.
  • Safeguard and enhance the US Squash brand by ensuring consistency across all communication channels and materials. Work closely with the Communications, Programs, and Specter Center teams to align messaging and ensure a cohesive and compelling narrative.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging opportunities to make informed recommendations for strategy and adjustments.
  • Promote and assist in executing a range of events, focused on engaging donors, prospects, and corporate partners.

Recommended Skills/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Fundraising, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in fundraising, communications, or marketing, with a focus on sports or non-profit organizations preferred. Strong preference for annual giving experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas, campaigns, and materials.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Preferred experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, or Canva.
  • Preferred experience with video editing software.
  • Preferred experience with MailChimp, Constant Contact, or similar email platforms.
  • Preferred experience with managing social media channels.
  • A passion for sports, ideally squash or racquet sports, and an openness to get on court and learn how to play squash!

Location & Hours

The hybrid role is based at US Squash’s Headquarters at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia, PA. Expectancy to work 40 hours per week within normal working hours (Mon – Fri, 9am to 5pm), as well as occasional evenings or weekends for marquee events. Schedule to be determined with VP, Advancement.
