University Club of San Francisco Seeks Squash Professional

Seeking a squash professional to join our staff to support an active squash membership.  The candidate will be responsible for helping engage our current squash membership and to introduce squash to members through programming, lessons, clinics, tournaments.  The University Club of San Francisco has two doubles squash courts, and three international singles courts.  We especially have a lively doubles scene, given our TWO courts!

Position requirements

  • Positive mindset, enthusiastic, goal-oriented, knowledgeable, observant, respectful, patient and have clear communication skills.

  • Ability to learn and work as part of productive team, team player

We want to craft a role (or roles) for the right individual(s).  There is an opportunity for full-time or part-time position(s).  Various concrete needs as relates to athletics or larger club, we would be happy to hear from anyone to start discussions for those able to help with any of the following:

  • Promoting involvement in the larger squash world.  Ex: Coordinating local, regional, international, SDA/pro tournaments.  Encouraging more of our members participating in external events.

  • Presence at our Tuesday Night Round Robins to get people playing and interacting with each other.

  • In-Club events and programming.

  • Clinics and Lessons for the members

  • Opportunity to grow a Junior Program

  • Step in to be a 4th as needed on the doubles court

  • Coordination and Project Management

  • Facilities and Operations needs.

  • Lots of general Private Club, and Hospitality needs.
