160 women will contest the 2021 U.S. Women’s Team Championships–better known as the Howe Cup–November 12-14, at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia.
The first Howe Cup since the 2019 edition in Seattle will feature thirty-six teams of five players across four divisions. The Specter Center’s first Howe Cup will also feature the MPB Doubles Championships with twenty-seven teams competing across four divisions.
The Howe Cup, the United States’ largest squash event for women, has a long history. The annual women’s five-person team tournament first began in 1928 as an inter-city competition between New York, Philadelphia, and Boston. Over the past ten years, the Howe Cup has seen more participation than any other U.S. Championship with twenty percent growth. 2021 marks the tournament’s eighty-seventh edition.
