A Year-End Message from US Squash

Dear Members of the Squash Community,

As this difficult year comes to a close, we wish you and your family our very best. Amanda Sobhy demonstrated her grit by recently defeating the current World no. 1 after a very challenging few months. Squash requires perseverance and resilience, skills we’ve all needed to tap this year. We are thankful this special community has pulled together to support one other at a time when our ability to get on court is far from a given.

At US Squash we’ve been providing the foundation for ongoing activity where it is safe and possible, while preparing to support the sport when we hit the ground running as the pandemic hopefully abates in 2021. Our staff, working on reduced pay and through rolling furloughs, is deeply committed to collaboration with everyone in the community through this time. Among what we’ve been focused on:

  • creation of resources for players, facilities and families for the return to play and competition
  • the release of a new www.ussquash.org website
  • advancing the US Squash Community Initiative, a network of facilities expanding access to the sport nationwide

With the majority of our revenue directly interrupted by the pandemic, we ask for your help to continue our work. If you are able, please consider making a 100% tax-deductible donation to US Squash as part of your end-of-year giving.

To the many of you who have already given this year, thank you so much for your support. Your generosity helps us continue our work to bring back the sport to pre-pandemic levels, deliver services to the community and expand access to a generation of new players.

Thank you, and Happy Holidays from all of us at US Squash.
