Position: Assistant Squash Professional

Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, minimum Level 2 Coaching Certification
Start Date: September 2025

About Louisville Community Squash:

Located in the Barker Brown Athletic Complex, Louisville Community Squash (LCS) has a bank of four glass-backed singles squash courts and two state-of-the-art golf simulators. The complex also features a turf field, a training and rehabilitation room, a meeting room, showers, concessions, and a reception area. The sports complex is part of Louisville Collegiate School, an independent, co-ed, JK-12th-grade day school in Louisville, Kentucky.

The mission is to provide affordable access to Squash in Louisville for all levels of play. We are the home to Zenith Squash Academy and Louisville Squash +, a non-profit organization in the process of recruiting its first students.

Responsibilities:

  • Private and group lessons to LCS members of all ages and standards
  • Coaching to lower school, middle school, and high school boys and girls teams
  • Tournament, league, and ladder organization, social media, assisting with LCS summer camps, and other event assistance
  • Stringing and assisting with pro shop sales
  • Assisting with membership drive and retention
  • Taking care of the facility as if it were your home

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Level 2 Coaching qualification
  • Experienced squash player (5.0+ skill rating) and coaching Collegiate or professional a bonus
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills, strong computer skills (Excel, Word, )
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment
  • Willingness to both learn from and share knowledge with other staff members
  • Must always maintain a professional and courteous manner
  • Organized and timely
  • Passionate and high energy
  • Believes in building a community inclusive of all backgrounds
