AEON School and US Squash Celebrate Inaugural Scholarship Recipients

AEON School and US Squash are proud to announce the inaugural recipients of the AEON x US Squash Scholarships, awarded to two exceptional young athletes whose achievements on court are matched by their commitment in the classroom.

Humzah Shah, a 9th-grade student from Houston, Texas, and Lars Daly, a 7th grader from Boca Raton, Florida, have been selected from a highly competitive applicant pool. Each will receive a full-tuition scholarship to AEON School—the Official School of US Squash—for the 2025–26 academic year.

“Lars and Humzah represent the future of squash—passionate, driven, and ready to realize their potential,” said Kim Clearkin, Chief Program Officer at US Squash. “We’re proud to partner with AEON School to create opportunities that empower student-athletes to pursue excellence both on and off the court, without compromise.”

Humzah trains under Coach Jahanzeb Khan at the Houston Squash Club, where he has stood out for his strong work ethic, focus, and maturity well beyond his years. A dedicated athlete who competes in both national and international events, Humzah also maintains a strong academic track record. Coaches describe him as a team player who leads with composure, supports others, and models the discipline and drive required to succeed at the highest levels.

Lars, one of the nation’s top-ranked junior players, trains with former World No. 8 Wael El Hindi at the Kinetic Indoor Racquet Club in Boca Raton. He captured the US Squash Boys U11 National Championship in 2022 and is currently ranked #5 in the Boys U13 division. Known for his speed, strategic instincts, and relentless drive, Lars continues to rise through the national rankings while embracing the demands of academic excellence.

“At AEON, we design school around the lives of extraordinary young people, not the other way around,” said Maggie Wollner, Head of School at AEON. “What Humzah and Lars have already demonstrated – as athletes, as learners, and as young people – makes us confident that, with the flexibility and support AEON provides, they can reach their full potential without sacrificing their academic goals, athletic aspirations, or their social-emotional and physical well-being.”

The AEON x US Squash Scholarship reflects the shared vision of both institutions: to build a future where student-athletes are empowered to pursue their passions without compromise. AEON’s flexible, global learning model ensures that athletes like Humzah and Lars can excel academically—wherever their training or competition schedules may take them.
