US Squash has continued to monitor the current state of the pandemic, and the organization’s highest priority remains the protection of the health and well-being of our participants, their families and communities. To this end, US Squash is suspending the scheduling of any planned dates for U.S. Championships for the 2020-2021 season at this time.
Updates will be provided in the coming months as more information becomes available as to the feasibility of hosting national events that involve interstate travel and the gather of large numbers of participants. US Squash is committed to preparations that will allow the organization to host these competitions, including opportunities at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center, should conditions improve.
The 2020 U.S. Junior Open, originally scheduled for December 19-22, is formally canceled. US Squash is considering multiple options for the 2021 U.S. Junior Open, including but not limited to the summer of 2021 or the traditional December timeframe.
All other 2020-2021 U.S. Championships – inclusive of junior, adult and doubles events – will be scheduled at a later date to be determined. Decisions around schedule will be made in concert with government guidelines, the US Squash board and committees, and with input from the community of players.
