Stuart Friedman

Stuart is an experienced trial lawyer and a co-founder of the firm, Friedman & Wittenstein.  He has represented clients in virtually every type of litigation. His areas of substantive expertise are antitrust, finance, intellectual property and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, as well as sports law. Stuart has served as counsel for various public and private company boards and has extensive experience in corporate governance and best practices.

The clients Stuart has represented include well-known public and private corporations, nationally registered stock exchanges, major private equity firms, a multinational oil and energy company, a national sports league and charitable organizations.

In the area of Sports Law, Stuart has served as general counsel of a professional sports league in the United States and Canada, and has represented executives, coaches, players and broadcasters of various professional sports teams and leagues, including the representation of a leading figure in the FIFA investigations.   Stuart currently serves as counsel to a new venture that is forming a new professional indoor soccer league to play on the international level in Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Stuart graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Syracuse University and The George Washington University Law School. Stuart is an avid squash player and previously served on the squash committee of his club.
