Conduct and Sportsmanship
The US Squash Code of Conduct exists to elevate and maintain the high standard of sportsmanship in squash competition. It was developed to promote enjoyment and safety during accredited play, and is aligned with US Squash’s values of fairness, sportsmanship, and respect. Being respectful to one’s opponent and the tournament officials, being courteous on and off the court, and being responsible for one’s own behavior are all fundamental to good sportsmanship and are necessary to uphold the integrity of the sport and fair competition.
The Code of Conduct can be viewed by clicking here.
US Squash takes any violations of the Code of Conduct very seriously and wants to be notified of any conduct violations. Additionally, US Squash values good sportsmanship and would like to acknowledge and recognize those players who display good sportsmanship at our accredited tournaments.
If you want to acknowledge acts of good sportsmanship and/or report a conduct violation, please use the two forms below. Any submissions will remain anonymous.
Expectations
US Squash has established expectations for the squash community in the form of Rules of the Road targeted at Parent and Coaches, Players on court and Players refereeing. You can expect us to enforce these expectations which we believe are in the best interests of safety and in support of the fair outcome of the competitions we manage.
We all—US Squash, players, parents and coaches—have a joint responsibility to uphold the standards of sportsmanship that makes squash unique, and our experiences in the sport so valued. Providing an enjoyable, healthy and safe environment at competitions remains our goal. With your help and support we are confident in our ability to achieve these worthy ambitions together.
