Elite Athlete Support
As we strive to join and lead the best in the squash world, US Squash’s programs continue to evolve to meet the incredible challenge and opportunity the U.S. has.
The EAP supports elite athletes in their goals to reach their full potential as competitors and achieve their highest world ranking. IT provides meaningful assistance, allowing players to succeed in both training and competition. The EAP also provides the foundation for the working relationship between athletes and US Squash.
Elements of the EAP includes: Base salary, Health, dental and vision insurance coverage, Reimbursement for squash related expenses, including but not limited to: Coaching, Strength and conditioning, Sport Psychology, Nutritionist, Travel costs, Accommodation, Membership, Team USA bonus potential, Fundraising support, Competition schedule management and travel logistics support
There are five levels of EAP support. The chart below outlines the maximum amount of funding available per level:
|Rank W||Rank M||Amount Per|
To be eligible for the program, Athletes must be U.S. citizens and meet the minimum PSA ranking level, reset annually for men and women.
Funding is not decided by PSA World Ranking solely, other factors to be considered are: Number of years on tour, Current ranking, Ranking trend (one, three, five years), Wildcard opportunities, Actual position in the U.S., Team USA participation, Future potential/representing Team USA at the junior level, Level of commitment, Conduct, Achievement of goals, Injury
