Squash On Fire is a world-class squash facility in downtown DC that offers squash
programming for adults and juniors designed by award-winning coaches. We are dedicated to being a center for squash excellence through offering high-quality programming for all levels and ages. The beautiful eight-court facility has been open since 2017 and is complemented by locker rooms, a proshop, personal training gym and a courtside, full-service café and bar. The past seven years, notwithstanding the challenges of the pandemic, Squash On Fire has seen incredible growth in occupancy and revenue. In 2023, annual revenue was over $2.1MM combined with court occupancy of over 70% during peak season. We are looking for a dynamic full-time coach to join our existing team managed by our Director of Squash, Ronny Vlassaks. The successful applicant would lead Squash On Fire scheduled sessions such as clinics, schools, camps, junior academy, round robins and special events alongside teaching private lessons.
Qualifications:
- Extensive previous experience coaching players of all levels
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to engage and participate in the growth/success of the business in all areas
- Possess sound judgement and proven ability to work with juniors
- Must have or participate in CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- Willing to go through individual school training for working with minors, including separate background checks and workshops
- Existing eligibility to work in the United States is preferable
Compensation
Compensation is negotiable and dependent on prior experience but the successful applicant will have a competitive base salary that can be supplemented through additional activities including successfully growing different segments of the operations.
