Myopia Hunt Club Seeks Squash Professional

We are currently seeking a Squash Professional to lead our program and are offering two options to fill the role:

  • Seasonal Squash Professional
    • Position will start in November and run through April 15.
  • Year-Round Squash & Tennis Professional
    • Position will be focused primarily on Squash November through April.
    • May through October 20% of time focused on Squash and 80% of time focused on Tennis

The Organization

Myopia Hunt Club, founded in 1882, is a private member-owned in Hamilton, Massachusetts, 30 miles outside of Boston, and is recognized as one of the country’s premiere clubs.  The Club offer a wide range of activity for its membership including golf, outdoor tennis, paddle, pickleball, squash, and an equestrian center.

The squash facility has two modern, well-maintained singles courts and the program has over 50 children and 50 adults actively involved. The tennis program has 7 har- tru courts and 4 paddle courts.

Position Summary – Seasonal Position

The Squash Professional will teach private and group clinics both to junior and adult players of all abilities, organize all programming, recruit players and manage general communication regarding the squash program to the membership.  The ideal candidate will be a true ambassador for the sport with an eye to growing the program year over year.

Position Summary – Year-Round Position

In addition to the responsibilities outlined in the Seasonal Position, the year-round position will be primarily focused on tennis from April 15 to November 1st, and teaching 2 to 4 hours per week of squash clinics. Responsibilities include assisting in executing a comprehensive tennis program that will include: teaching programs, court usage, office administration, pro shop activities, social programs and other racquet related activities. The Tennis Professional is responsible for providing a topnotch racquets experience to all members and guests via hospitality, embracing all skill levels, and timely communication.
