John Nimick

John is the President of Event Engine, Inc, an event promotion firm which for nearly three decades has run international squash tournaments, including the U.S. Open in Boston, the Tournament of Champions in New York City, the Oracle NetSuite Open in San Francisco, and the Canadian Squash Classic in Toronto, Ontario. John served as president of the professional hardball squash association from 1988 to 1990, and as executive director of the professional softball squash association from 1994 to 1999.

As a playing professional, John achieved a ranking of No. 2 on the World Professional Squash Tour in 1990-91 and won four “Grand Slam” singles squash titles during his professional career. John also won the Intercollegiate Singles title and U.S. National Singles title and numerous other singles and doubles championships. He is a member of the U.S. Squash Hall of Fame Class of 2006 and was honored with the US Squash President’s Cup in 2011. John has served as the Board Chair of the College Squash Association since 2019.
