The PlayLA Youth Squash Program, delivered in partnership with the LA Recreation & Parks Department and SoCal Squash, introduces kids to the sport at public parks in Los Angeles. The first sessions were held this week and continue through December.
In September, the US Squash Train-a-Trainer program was held trained local squash players to be squash instructors who will help lead the youth program.
The youth program will be held at two locations as a part of the PlayLA initiative, which provides youth of all abilities access to quality sports available from their local neighborhood recreation center, and aims to inspire and engage the community in the lead up to the LA 2028 Olympic Games.
