The Taft School Seeks Boys Varsity Head Coach

This is an excellent opportunity to work with students from around the world, gain valuable experience at a leading independent school, as well as work in a supportive professional environment.

The Taft School seeks a head coach for the boys varsity squash team. Position start date, fall or winter 2022.

Squash-related duties include coaching matches and practices; designing practice plans; supporting college placement for student athletes; collaborating with the Taft admissions office and college counseling office; and communicating with various stakeholders, including families.

This position can be structured as a part-time role or combined with teaching responsibilities, evening duties, and participation in a second season of the school’s afternoon program to qualify as a full-time faculty position. 

Specific qualifications include previous high-level coaching experience; strong interpersonal, communication, and professional skills; and, a desire to work with engaged and motivated students.

Additional qualifications include a demonstrated commitment to the tenets described in the school’s Statement on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Portrait of the Graduate; a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of relevant experience; the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of students, employees, and other campus stakeholders to support and expand programmatic and institutional goals; and, an interest in joining a residential community that serves a globally-inclusive student body.
