John White & Georgina Stoker continued their Mixed Doubles good fortunes together, adding their first Mixed Doubles national title to their Onwentsia Pro Mixed Doubles title last month, Sunday, May 15, at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center.
The Philadelphia locals entered the draw as the top seeds, and found their closest match to be their opener against Fabio Cechin & Rachel Mashek, who pushed them to five games 15-12, 15-12, 14-15, 13-15, 15-5.
White & Stoker then dispatched Ned Marks & Jessica Davis in a three-game semifinal to set up a final against two seeds and fellow Philadelphians Chris Longman & Lauren West. White & Stoker went on to clinch the title 15-12, 15-11, 15-11.
Sunil Desai & Amy Milanek earned the 50+ Mixed Doubles national title, topping the five-team round robin with a perfect record of four, 3-0 victories, as Howard Edson & Pamela Platt placed second.
