Spence School Seeks Squash Program Assistant

This is a non-exempt, full-time position to begin July 1, 2022

OVERVIEW
The Spence School announces a search for a Spence Squash Program Assistant, a key position responsible for coordination and oversight of its Squash Center use. This position reports directly to the Director of Spence Squash and will assist in the management of squash programming, court rentals, customer service, and client relations. The Squash Program Assistant will coordinate with all constituents related to squash court use and squash events (parents, faculty, staff, leadership, renters, vendors) to support programming and ensure an excellent experience. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 12 months a year, weeknights and weekends as needed.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of the Director of Spence Squash, this role is responsible for, but not limited to:

Squash Court Use Duties
  • Administer the operation and use of the squash court use management system (Club Locker)
  • Provide “help desk” assistance to all 412 Squash Center Member Club Locker users
  • Manage membership enrollment including scheduling, invoicing, staffing
  • Manage outside court rental agreements including scheduling, invoicing, client relations
  • Maintain inventory; manage equipment storage; perform daily court inspections for cleanliness and damage
  • Manage program coordination to include internal use, community clinics, summer camps
  • Assist Director of Spence Squash in program development and financial reporting
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working with scheduling and payment processing software
  • Experience working with students and/or in fitness industry preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and public relations skills
  • Time management, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to plan long-term, anticipate and implement next steps and meet deadlines
  • Project management, organizational skills, and ability to work as a part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various departments, clients, and vendors
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workplace
  • Moderate level of physical activity required.
