US Squash Seeks Director of Doubles

US Squash is seeking a Director of Doubles to support and expand the squash doubles community in the United States. The position will be based at the newly-opened Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia, PA. The successful applicant will serve as the Victor Elmaleh Director of Doubles and oversee all U.S. Squash Doubles Championships, support accredited tournaments and leagues, manage support for the Men’s and Women’s professional tours, develop best practices for the growth of doubles, and deliver on-court instruction and programming at the Specter Center.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Promote squash doubles programming and growth for all levels, genders, and ages
  • Coordinate with the US Squash communications team to publicize doubles news, events, and programs
  • Oversee delivery of all U.S. Doubles Championships
  • Lead and support the US Squash Doubles Committee
  • Develop doubles programming at the Specter Center
  • Deliver on-court instruction for Specter Center doubles programs
  • Manage the North American Doubles Referee Program
  • Coordinate and provide direct support for the Men’s and Women’s professional tours
  • Support accredited doubles league and tournament play
  • Support development efforts for the US Squash Doubles Fund
  • Act as primary liaison with Squash Canada to coordinate events and programs
  • Interface with the Club Locker software team to support and enhance doubles elements of the platform

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Experience interacting with stakeholders across the doubles community
  • Excellent doubles squash playing ability and knowledge
  • 2+ years of doubles coaching experience preferred
  • Ability to deliver premium customer service while working within a fast-paced environment with other members of the US Squash team.
