St. Andrews School Seeks Head Squash Coach

St. Andrew’s Athletic Department is recruiting for a full-time Squash Coach for our Boys and Girls Squash teams.  All positions report to the Athletic Director.  The successful coach will instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary to realize a high level of individual and team success. Instruction should lead to improved ability in the sport as well as good sportsmanship, self-discipline, self-confidence, and a sense of pride in the student-athlete’s accomplishments. The ideal candidate will be able to hold teaching or administrative responsibilities at the school as well.

St. Andrew’s has 9 international courts and passionate players, many of whom have experience playing prior to St. Andrew’s, as well as students that are new to the game. Candidates should have either prior coaching experience or recent playing experience at a high level, ability to organize and execute engaging and challenging practices for two varsity level teams each day during the winter season (November-February), ability to navigate the logistics that come with being a head coach, and a spirit that creates enthusiasm around the game of squash.  Additional duties include practice planning, training, game strategy, and administration.  Weekday and weekend practices as well as games will be required.
