Canterbury Schools Seeks Squash Coach/Teacher

Position Description:  Canterbury School seeks a student-centered educator for employment as a Classroom Teacher and Boys’ Varsity Head Squash Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for the 2021-2022 school year.  Candidates must have a subject-area undergraduate degree (i.e., languages, sciences, math, English), and strong preference will be given to candidates who played collegiate squash, or who have a coaching background in squash. Candidates must enjoy working with adolescents and maintain an exceptional work ethic, strong communication skills, and a commitment to collegiality. The position includes dormitory duty, extra-curricular activities, and assisting with a second coaching season to be determined. Housing/meals, medical coverage, and retirement planning are included in the benefits package.

School Setting:  Canterbury is a co-educational, boarding high school located in northwestern Connecticut, approximately one hour northeast of New York City.  The school is comprised of approximately 330 students (of whom two-thirds are boarding) possesses excellent facilities, and is committed to the continuing education of the faculty.  The campus and programs may be viewed at the School’s website: www.cbury.org.
